Guest Speaker, Ted Smith

Ted Smith is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a founding partner of the law firm Cornell Smith Mierl Brutocao Burton, LLP, in Austin, Texas. Mr. Smith has been involved with the IRWA and ROW Consultants Council for more than a decade, and has represented several ROW clients throughout the United States on various Labor and Employment law matters. He has been listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Labor and Employment Law since 2010, and was recently honored by that publication as the Austin “Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Employment Law – Management. In addition, Mr. Smith has been named as a “Texas Super Lawyer” in the field of Labor Law by Texas Monthly magazine since 2003, and selected to the list of “Top Attorneys in Texas.” Cornell Smith Mierl Brutocao Burton, LLP also recently earned the honor of Top Employment Law Firm in the state of Texas among small law firms by that same publication.

Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A., cum laude, 1991) and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994.
